This manual describes how to add a new member in the Rhyzi platform (formerly Ident2be) and how to provision that person in one go with an RFID card (access badge) and a licence plate. In this example, the member is granted access to two offices and the parking lot of the building.

The Rhyzi platform supports several types of identification. This manual specifically covers the combination RFID card + licence plate.

Introduction

A member is a person who is granted access to one or more locations within your building via the Rhyzi platform. Think of employees, tenants, or regular service providers. For each member, you define which identification means he or she uses and which doors, rooms, or parking lots the access applies to.

Supported identification means

Rhyzi supports multiple types of identification. Which ones you use depends on the installed hardware (card readers, cameras, etc.) and your organisation's preferences:

  • RFIDCARD — classic access badge with RFID chip; presented at a card reader
  • PLATE — licence plate; recognised by licence plate cameras (ANPR) at, for example, a barrier or parking entrance
  • BARCODE — barcode or QR code, for example on a badge or phone
  • PINONLY — access solely via a PIN code on a keypad
  • VIRTUALID — virtual identification via the dedicated app on a smartphone (mobile access)
  • MP — mobile pass / acces via mobile website.

This manual covers the combination RFIDCARD + PLATE. You can assign multiple identification means per member.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • A Rhyzi administrator account with the right to add members
  • The full name and email address of the new member
  • The company the member belongs to — this must already exist in Rhyzi
  • An RFID card (physical access badge) to assign to this member
  • The licence plate of the vehicle that should be granted access to the parking lot
  • A working card reader at your workstation to scan cards (optional — the card number can also be entered manually)
Field Example
Full name Jan Janssen
Email address jan.janssen@example.com
Company Rhyzi Demo B.V.
RFID card number 1234567890 (10 digits)
Licence plate 12-ABC-3

Tip: if you do not have a card reader at your workstation, consult the separate manual on how to retrieve a card number from the reader at the door.

Step-by-step: add a new member

Step 1 – Open the "Add Member" page

The empty Add Member page, ready to be filled in.
  1. Log in to the Rhyzi platform via https://demo.ident2be.com/login (or your own environment).
  2. In the left-hand menu, click Members.
  3. In the top-right corner, click the Add Member button.

You will now see an empty form with three sections: Personal Info, Address, and Cards & Access.

Step 2 – Fill in the personal details

Fill in at least the required fields.

On the Personal Info tab, fill in the following fields:

  • Status — set this to Active
  • Full Name — the full name of the member
  • Email — the email address
  • Company — click the field and select the correct company from the list
  • Start Date (optional) — the date on which the access should take effect
  • End Date (optional) — the date on which the access should automatically expire

The remaining fields (Phone, Note, and the Address tab) are optional and can be completed later.

Step 3 – Assign an RFID card

Choose the type of identification means — here RFIDCARD.
  1. Scroll down to the Assign Cards section.
  2. Click Add Card.
  3. In the dropdown menu, select RFIDCARD.
Scan the card.
  1. Click in the Card Number field.
  2. Scan the RFID card at your card reader — the number is filled in automatically.

Grant access to the offices

Click Grant next to each location to which this card should give access.

To the right of the card, a table appears listing all available access points in your building that have been assigned to you.

  1. In the Location column, find the two offices of the company (for example Rhyzi Tower | Kantoor 1.1 and Rhyzi Tower | Kantoor 1.2).
  2. Click Grant next to each office to activate access. The button changes to Granted.

Good to know: the parking lot can also be opened with the RFID card, provided a card reader has been installed at the barrier. Combined with licence plate recognition (see Step 4), this gives the member maximum flexibility — with or without a car.

Step 4 – Assign a licence plate

Add a second identification means of type PLATE.
  1. Click Add Card again to add a second identification means.
  2. In the dropdown menu, select PLATE.
Enter the licence plate without spaces or dashes, unless your environment is configured otherwise.
  1. Click in the Card Number field and enter the licence plate of the vehicle.

Grant access to the parking lot

Click Grant next to the parking location.
  1. In the access table, find the parking access point for the building (for example Rhyzi Tower | Parkeerterrein RTA).
  2. Click Grant so the parking lot opens when a licence plate camera recognises the vehicle.

Tip: the parking lot can be opened in two ways — via RFID card (if a card reader is installed at the barrier) and via licence plate recognition (if cameras are installed). At locations equipped with both systems, grant access on both identification means so the member can always get in.

Step 5 – Save the member

The member has been created successfully and now appears in the Members list.
  1. Check at the top that all fields are correctly filled in and that both identification means are visible.
  2. Click Submit in the top-right corner to save the member.

The new member now appears in the Members list and can immediately make use of the assigned access.

Review and edit

Want to change a member's cards or access rights after saving?

  1. Go to Members in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click the name of the relevant member — the Member Profile page opens.
  3. Use the tabs RFIDCARD, PLATE (and possibly other types such as MOBILE_CARD) to switch between identification means.
  4. Per card, click Grant or Restrict in the access table to change access per location.
  5. Click Save and Close to apply the changes.

Frequently asked questions

Can I assign more than one RFID card or licence plate per member?

Yes. Via Add Card you can add multiple identification means per member — for example two licence plates (private and lease car) or an additional backup badge. For each identification means, you decide separately which locations are accessible.

What happens if I cannot scan the RFID card?

You can always enter the card number manually in the Card Number field. Also check the manual to retreive the number from the reader at the door.

Can the parking lot only be opened with a licence plate?

No. The parking lot can be opened:

  • via licence plate recognition if cameras are installed at the entrance;
  • via RFID card if a card reader is installed at the barrier.

Which methods are available depends on the hardware at your location. You can safely grant access on both identification means — that way it works in every situation.

What is the difference between "Active" and "Inactive"?

An Active member can immediately make use of his or her access rights. An Inactive member remains in the system, but all linked cards and licence plates are blocked until you set the status back to Active.

Is the email address required?

Yes, the email address is mandatory. Rhyzi uses this field as the unique identifier for the member and — where applicable — for invitations to the Rhyzi app (VIRTUALID / mobile access).

Summary

With the steps above, you can add a new member in a few minutes with both an RFID card and a licence plate. The Rhyzi platform also supports several other identification means (BARCODE, PINONLY, VIRTUALID, MP) that can be added in the same way via the Add Card button. By using Grant or Restrict separately for each identification means, you can precisely determine which doors, rooms, and parking lots are accessible for this member.
