This manual describes how to find and edit an existing member in the Rhyzi platform (formerly Ident2be). Think of changing a validity date, adding an extra card, entering a new licence plate, or granting or revoking access per location.

The manual is intended for administrators and facility managers who manage members on a daily basis. You will first get to know the Members overview page, and then the various sections of a Member Profile.


Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure the following are available:

Member's name Or another search key (email, Person ID) to quickly locate the right person.
The change you want to make For example a new card, a new licence plate, an updated validity date, or changing access per location.

The members overview

The members overview is the central page that lists every member in the system. Open it via Members in the left-hand menu.

Overview and columns

For each member, the table shows the following columns:

  • Full Name — the member's full name.
  • Email — the email address, which also serves as a unique identifier.
  • Company — the company the member is linked to; use the dropdown to filter by company.
  • Cards — whether any cards are linked. A dash means the member has no card yet. If the member has multiple cards, the dropdown lets you filter by card type.
  • Person ID — the unique number (RH-xxxxx) that Rhyzi assigns automatically.
  • Status — a green dot indicates Active; a grey or red dot indicates Inactive.

Searching for a member

At the top of the page you have three tools to quickly find the right member:

  1. Search field — type a name, email address, or Person ID to filter the list instantly. You can also scan the card number using the card-enrolment reader connected to your computer.
  2. Sort dropdown Name — change the sort order (for example by name, company, email, or card number).
  3. Reset Filter — clears all active filters in one click.

Pagination at the bottom is accompanied by Total Results: …, so you can see how many members match your filter.

Opening a member

Click a member's name to open their profile. You arrive at the Member Profile page, where all member data is organised into clear sections.

Page layout

The Member Profile consists of the following sections, top to bottom:

  • Status bar — top-left is the Status toggle (Active / Inactive). To the right of it you can set a Valid period (start and end date during which the member has access).
  • Personal Info — name, email, company, phone number, date of birth, and an optional notes field.
  • Address (Optional) — collapsible; contains the home address and optionally the home–work distance.
  • Cards and Accesses — all linked cards and their access rights per location, per card.

In the top-right corner you find the action buttons Back, Delete Member, Save, and Save and Close. Save stores the changes and keeps you on the Member Profile page; Save and Close saves and returns you to the members overview.

Editing general details

On the Member Profile page you can edit any field directly. The change is only stored after you click Save or Save and Close.

Changing the validity period

The Valid period fields determine from when until when the member has access. Outside this period, all linked cards and licence plates are automatically blocked.

  1. Click the right-hand date field of Valid period (format dd.mm.yyyy).
  2. Pick a date in the calendar or type it directly.
  3. Click an empty area of the page to confirm the date.

Tip: leave the start date empty for access to take effect immediately. Always set an end date for temporary staff, external parties, or visitors with multi-day access — this prevents stale access rights from lingering.

Changing the status

The Status toggle in the top-left switches a member between Active and Inactive in a single click. Setting a member to Inactive is a quick way to temporarily block all access without removing the data or cards — for example during illness, suspension, or after a lost badge.

Editing cards and access

In the Cards and Accesses section you manage every identification means linked to the member. Each card gets its own tab; clicking a tab shows the corresponding access table on the right.

Viewing or editing an existing card

  1. Click the tab of the desired card type (for example RFIDCARD or PLATE).
  2. On the left you see the card details: status, validity period, card number, and — for RFIDCARD — optionally a Card Layout and a Pin Code.
  3. On the right you see the access table with every location the member has or can have for this card.

Adding a card or licence plate

To add an extra identification means — for example a second licence plate for a lease car or an extra backup badge — use the Add Card button.

  1. Click Add Card.
  2. In the dropdown, choose the right type:
    • RFIDCARD — classic physical access badge
    • BARCODE — barcode or QR code
    • PINONLY — access exclusively via a PIN code
    • PLATE — licence plate (for ANPR)
    • VIRTUALID — mobile identification via the Rhyzi app
    • MP — alternative mobile pass
  3. Enter the corresponding number (card number, licence plate, barcode, …) or scan the card.
  4. If needed, set a separate validity period for this card.

For an RFIDCARD you can also set a Card Layout and a Pin Code in addition to the card number.

Granting or revoking access per location

The access table on the right shows, per location, whether the member has access (Granted) or not (Restricted). Use the buttons in the Action column to change this row by row.

  1. Make sure the right card is selected via the tabs on the left.
  2. Find the desired location in the table — use the search field at the top to filter the list if needed.

  1. Click Grant to grant access, or Restrict to revoke it. The status in the Status column updates immediately.
Clicking Grant immediately grants access to the selected location.

Good to know: the Grand All button (top-right of the table) grants access to all visible locations in one click; use it deliberately and preferably together with a filter, so you do not unintentionally grant too many rights. Restrict All works the same way but revokes all listed accesses at once.

Copying access between cards

Does the member already have a card with the right access, and are you adding a second card (for example a licence plate alongside an RFID card)? You can copy the access rights in a single click.

  1. Open the tab of the new card you want to set up.
  2. At the top of the access table, click the dropdown Copy from other card.
  3. Select the card whose access you want to copy from (for example RFIDCARD).
  4. Rhyzi immediately copies all Granted locations to the current card and confirms with the message Access copied from card ….

Practical tip: use Copy from other card for parking access — copy the Granted locations from the RFIDCARD to the PLATE, and the member can enter the lot with either the badge or the licence plate.

Saving changes

Changes on the Member Profile page are not saved automatically. If you close the tab or click Back without saving, all changes are lost.

  • Save — saves the changes and keeps you on the Member Profile page. Useful when you want to make additional changes.
  • Save and Close — saves and returns you to the members overview.
  • Back — leaves the page without saving; only use this button if you accidentally changed something you do not want to keep.

On a successful save, the green message Person data updated successfully appears in the top-right corner.

Deleting a member

Only delete a member when you are certain that the member and all linked cards may be permanently removed from the system. In most cases, setting the status to Inactive is sufficient — this preserves the historical data for audit and compliance.

  1. Open the Member Profile of the member you want to delete.
  2. Click the red Delete Member button in the top-right corner.
  3. Confirm the action in the pop-up. The member and all linked cards are removed.

Caution: deletion is permanent. Audit trails of past access attempts are retained, but the person cannot easily be restored. In doubt? Set the status to Inactive first.

Frequently asked questions

The member cannot be saved

The email address and the card numbers of all cards, licence plates, etc. must be unique. If any of them is the same as for another member or visitor, the member cannot be saved.

My change is not visible — what now?

Did you click Save? If the green Person data updated successfully message did not appear, the change has not been saved.

Can I link multiple cards of the same type to one member?

Yes. You can assign, for example, two RFIDCARDs or several PLATEs (licence plates) to one member. Each card gets its own tab; per card you decide separately on the validity period and the access rights.

Conversely, a card number (or licence plate) can only be used once — for a single member or visitor.

What is the difference between 'Granted' and 'Restricted'?

Granted means the selected card has access at that location. Restricted means the access is explicitly blocked. Both statuses are visible in the Status column of the access table.

When do I use 'Copy from other card'?

When you add a new card and it should have (almost) the same access rights as an existing card of the same member. It copies all Granted locations in one go; you can then make manual adjustments if needed.

Is the Status toggle the same as 'Delete Member'?

No. Status = Inactive temporarily blocks all cards and licence plates, but the data is preserved. Delete Member removes the member entirely. In doubt, set the status to Inactive first.

Can a member be reactivated automatically after a while?

Yes. Fill in a Valid period: from the start date the member automatically has access, and on the end date access is automatically blocked. That way you do not need to switch between Active and Inactive manually.
